If you don't know Kalina, you could mistake her for evil. She is actually one of the good people. At first it may seem like she doesn't care too much about others or if they are in trouble. She can totally brush you off if she wants to or isn't in a good mood. She is a very difficult person to get along with. Kalina has a sort of dangerous part about her, and a sharp tongue at that. She also has a way with people, always clever with words and actions. She indeed loves mind games/ tricks which can make anyone go insane. Kalina is very much a bitch- to certain *cough people- demons.
Once you get to know Kalina, she can be quite nice. It is a good thing that she is on your side, though all you do- gooders may have to remind her that you are on the same side and want the same thing; to rid the world of evil. She is a rebellious person in general so tread carefully around her. She doesn't like to respect her elders, but in her heart she does and doesn't take anything lightly or for granted. She suspects many people but generally there are a lot of suspicious people about.
For the most part, Kalina had a very vicious side to her, well with strangers and demons, but with family she loves them and would protect them at all costs. Same goes for close friends. It takes a lot to gain her trust, but when you get through to her, she can really be a great person. With her, friends are always safe and she doesn't take betrayals well. She will- or rather can throw a city into chaos with rain, fire and some small earthquakes. Watch for her, love her or hate her, there are only two ways to go.

Overall History:
Ilena met Zachary about 21 years ago, just as Ilena began to get her powers. She was 16 at the time and her life was just about as bad as she thought it could be. Her mother and father had died before they could tell her about her powers, and she was sent to a foster home. The people were generally nice, but when she started to make things appear, her power was materialization. This was only her first power, her father's power of calling. She was frightened of what she could do. Zachary was Ilena's whitelighter and helped her though her problems, that wasn't all; they became close and when Ilena was 20, they were married and had a daughter, Kalina. She was a beautiful child which they didn't know what they should do about as the child would have different powers.
About a year after Kalina was born, Nathaniel was born and after him, Victoria and finally, Lucy. The four children were half witch- half whitelighter but Kalina was always the more protected, talented and evidently the first child. When Kalina was 14, her mother died and their father was called back 'up there'. They were left for no one, the four were sent to different foster homes. Kalina began to get her powers at age 14, the others, not so much. They could orb, but only in a dangerous situation.
Kalina was sent to a happily married couple, the woman was Alicia Spinet and her husband, Drake Spinet. It was one day Kalina held her palms out as if to stop one of them from coming in her room that she produced wind, and later fire, water, electricity and earth. She was scared by what she could do that she didn't dare make any gestures with her hands.
Later, about when she turned 15, she was assigned a whitelighter who showed her more about how her powers could help. She learned that her powers could help rid the world of demons. Ever since she learned this, she has been vanquishing demons and looking out for innocents. She has not quite gotten her whitlighter skills down, but they are getting there... ish.
About 2 years later, when Kalina was 16, she found her siblings. Her sibling, Nathaniel was given the power of a whitelighter and pyrokinesis, her sister, Victoria possessed the ability to levitate while their youngest sister, Lucy was absent of powers until her 13th birthday. When Lucy turned 13, she showed powers of an empath.
After three months of the youngest sister, Lucy having her powers, she realized it was too much and was killed by the torture of others suicidal thoughts or demons desires to kill. After her death, the three remaining siblings, Kalina, Nathaniel and Victoria were brought closer and leaned to use their powers together. Alicia and Drake were welcoming to all of the children though they didn't yet know about magic.
By the time Kalina was 16, almost 17, Drake spyed the kids using magic on a shapeshifter. Kalina had used wind to push the demon against the wall and was electrocuting it while Nathaniel threw fire at it, causing the demon to explode. After that, the three had to explain everything to Drake and Alicia. Kalina told them that she could control elements, Nathan could throw fire and Victoria could levitate. They also told them about their parents, one being a witch and the other being a whitelighter.
Drake and Alicia were alright with it, though could be very concerned about them. Kalina is currently studying languages and literature, Nathan is working on biology and physics and Victoria is just studying in high school, which she is a freshman in.

Kalina looked around the alley, a shadow appeared slowly coming nearer. Kalina narrowed her eyes, this had to be the demon, yes. It should be. It seemed to be taking the life force from an innocent. Kalina stepped out into the open, the demon stopped and started toward her, but she stood tall. "You shouldn't do that to people." She said with utter confidence. With that she held her palm out, electricity came fourth. She love the feeling, as she took the energy from around her and from deep inside. Your powers come from your emotions. Her Whitelighter always said that to her. Right now she could feel the anger at the demon for taking a life. The demon laughed and produced a fireball. Kalina quickly produced a vial of potion. "That was just to hold you off," As the demon saw her produce the vial, another wave of lightning hit the demon and pushing him to the ground. She dropped the potion on the demon and watched him explode into ashes. After this was done, she hurried over to the innocent. Was she too late? She knelt and felt for a pulse. Yes. He was alive, but just barely. Kalina called 911 and explained that there was an incident and someone was down. The paramedics arrived two minutes later, Kalina was in the shadows, watching.
Kalina walked away just after the man was lifted into the van and rushed off to the ER. She composed herself carefully, and stepped out onto the street, almost bumping into someone. "Sorry," She mumbled. The stranger looked oddly at her, "Why were you... nevermind." Kalina looked at him in a startled manner then walked off. Whene she was sure that no one was around, she orbed back home.
