Kalina walked around in Union square, one of the more upper end shopping areas of SF. There was a shopping bag from borders bookstore around her wrist and a purse slung over her shoulder. Kalina smiled, in her bag was the book, Gone With the Wind. She had owned the book until quite recently when a ghoul had attacked and the big book had been destroyed in the process.
Kalina walked briskly across the center over to the corner where Macy's and that super fancy what was it- Marcus store was and crossed the street. She walked down the long sidewalk looking in at the Macy's window designs. Too bad it wasn't christmas as this particular store always had little puppies in it during the holiday season. If she got a cat, it would probably die from all the chaos in her own home, or rather Alicia and Drake's home, where she still lived- for the time being.
Her mind wandered as she felt a dark presence, darklighter, her mind screamed. Kalina didn't trust her gut instinct this time she felt like she had to. She turned quickly into the apple store which was at the corner and browsed a few moments, the presence was still there. She let herself leave the shop and go into an abandoned alley. Almost immediately the Darklighter appeared, crossbow and all. Kalina didn't scream. Instead the cold Kalina came out, the one that was protective of siblings and the one that was, without a doubt temperamental and, well dangerous. She wasn't truly a dangerous one, but she had always been the one more prone to maybe, a slight chance evil. If she was turned evil, her siblings would be too. There wasn't a doubt about that, but since they were all still... good, she was still good.
Kalina let a smile play on her mouth as she held a palm out. An arrow issued from the crossbow, but it was pretty much incinerated. The Darklighter stopped and orbed out, but there was a threat in his eyes. Kalina hurried away, she still needed to be here, she was supposed to meet someone at the Cafe over in Westfield mall. Even though she couldn't feel the dark presence, she felt eyes on her the whole way to the other shopping center.
Words: 400 Notes: Okay. Open to anyone.

Peyton watched perched up onto a roof shaking her head to the dark lighter god why did she haft to have idiots work for her, but then again it was better to have some reinforcements then none. This woman Kalina had very good potential to be a best friend to her after all Peyton was good at hiding who she truly, and it was her who asked miss Kalina to the cafe or at least planted it. Yes Kalina would feel eyes on her and it was Peyton watching she had the Source powers which meant she controlled the underworld in her father place.
The Dark lighter appeared before her as Peyton slapped her forehead with her hand god he was a complete idiot watching the dark lighter bow to her. "How stupid could you be attaching a witch lighter I could use that girl, and I can't if you go around trying to kill her." She waved her hand as the dark lighter exploded with a scream we'll least Peyton did not haft to worry about this man anytime soon. Disappearing into a cloud of smoke and appeared in the cafe hiding every part of her evil being for now. Might as well blend in with the other in case her sister decided to crash her hair was back to the original color it was.
When she was good her clothing also changed from black and red to flowers and girly stuff, but she also had tomboy clothes hating to be a girlie girl. Peyton was indeed curious to meet this Kalina things were going to be interesting, and all she had to do was be her old bubbly self, but still a bit of trouble maker like her Aunt Phoebe. Relaxing with her coffee she was even nice to get Kalina one just to show there was no evil intent. Peyton wanted to be new source.

Ah, shopping. It wasn't one of Kalina's favorite things to do, it was just one of those things you had to do once in a while. She sighed and kicked back at the Westfield food court which was an odd food court. There was a Beard Papa's in the middle where you could get delightful cream puffs and nearby were pizza booths, korean food, regular chinese food and other types of food. Instead of buying something, Kalina pulled out Gone with the Wind and began to read.
The book was really sad, but really good. Kalina looked up after what was about an hour and people were beginning to flood in. She should go and let them take her table. She smiled at a certain family and got up, and walked away. She still had some places to visit, where should she go next? Wasn't Alicia's birthday in about... a week or two? It would be rude of her not to get her foster mother something.
Kalina made her way upstairs to the fancy stores. What would Alicia like? maybe some soap or perfume from the body works store, or a nice necklace from Juicy Couture. Lina honesty had no idea what she would get. She was so indecisive most of the time. After what seemed like ages she decided to browse. She wandered into what looked like a dark store, it was actually big on the metal. She could see only dark stuff in this gloom store. She wanted to leave but she couldn't seem to bring herself to. The store just seemed... evil. Kalina, being good couldn't stand such... awfulness. She was just about to orb out when someone said, "Hello there, how can I help you?"
Kalina turned slowly to look at the saleslady, the hairs on the back of her neck pickled. Her movements were smooth and clear, as was her head in any given situation. She said in an even voice, "No thank you, I was just looking." With that she absently picked up a CD and examined it. The cover had some ghoulish looking face along with the name of the band, "Tokio Hotel". Odd, was all she thought before setting it down again.
