Well, lets just say when she was a child back in Salem, MA, she was labeled as a psychotic bitch. She was temperamental and notorious for losing her temper and hurting others. She didn't care about harming others nor wanted anything to do with the greater good. From a child she was always one of those crazy people that everyone wanted locked up. Jezebel goes by her middle name, Melanie because she prefers it as it means dark.
She isn't stupid, she is one of the more cleaver people and covers slip ups very well. She knows how to put on an appearance when she wants to and can really 'charm' others. Her power 'projection' includes a lot of things but she mainly uses it to project thoughts and paranoia into others.
Melanie really doesnt care what others think about her, she is evil down to the last part of her, without any good in her. She is cold, has a sharp tongue and kills if she doesnt get what she wants. Since she is pretty much immortal, life doesn’t mean anything to her. Her father taught her only evil and killing at a very young age. Gore doesn't bother her, nor does hell. She isnt really afraid of anything except perhaps being hit by fire balls, love happiness and snakes. For some odd reason, she really dislikes snakes after they attacked her older sister.
Watch out for Melanie, she honestly wont care what happens to you, unless she benefits. She takes orders from no one though Darklighters are usually “thugs” of demons. If she sees an opportunity for power of to kill someone, she will do it. If she makes an allegiance you can automatically assume that she is up to something and will benefit from it.

Overall History:
Back about... a long time ago, Selene Arlin was born. She was daughter of evil powers who wanted the world to be thrown into chaos. Selene was a gentle child and would harm a fly. Despite the fact she was half Darklighter, she never really came into her powers. Though she learned her witch power, fire balls. Selene was a good witch who used her fire to kill many demons when they attacked that was. Sienna and Patrick were disgusted with their daughter’s wimpy behavior and decided to have another child, Jezebel.
When Jezebel was born, Patrick noted the dark glimmer in her eye and announced to his wife that she would be one of the stronger powers of evil. Selene died after a snake attacked her and she wasn’t looking. It was one of the demon’s minions that had been sent to kill the good witch. Jez didn’t care too much, nor did her parents.
Jezebel was enrolled in a Salem Elementary school where she became a bully. She was one of the scariest kids, and often terrorized kids who didn’t do what she wanted. She got into a lot of trouble as a child but her parents didn’t care and encouraged her to make others feel misery. Her mother died at age 40 after being vanquished by a good witch, Rosalind Harman, ancestress of Kalina Harman . Jez now wants revenge on her but she can’t find her.
Patrick taught Jez how to be evil and that she should kill. She learned to use her Darklighter powers at the age of 6, after her mothers death. She learned that her witch power was Projection, a rare ability. She learned this after she wanted everyone to feel fear.
When Jez turned 12, she learned her middle name, Melanie meant dark and told everyone to call her Melanie instead of Jezebel, a demon as Melanie sounded more trusting, an easier way to get closer to the good witches. Melanie became a more serious killer and was still rather rude in classes.
She has never had to transfer out of any class, because she knows to put on a show really well. When she turned 13 and was in 7th grade, she became more dangerous more because of her hormonal changes throwing her into more moods. This was the year she was labeled a Psychotic Bitch and truly was evil. When she turned 14, and was in 8th grade- she was caught in a time vortex where she stopped aging, but time kept going. She was spit out of the vortex some 100 years later.
Melanie/ Jez was a bit confused with the date but not for long. After a while she caught on to the two years she missed and is back to scheming. Her next plan is to find the Harmans and kill them each, now that she knows that they can be killed with her niffty crossbow. She hunts whitelighters and other sources of good as well as ‘innocents’ and mortals. She doesn’t care what gets in her way as long as she gets what she wants, and when she says something, she means it. Melanie is just used to getting what she wants.
